If something didn't happen soon, Giants manager Bruce Bochy was trotting a position player out to the pitching rubber. Brandon Crawford hit a bases-clearing double to break a 14th-inning stalemate and Tim Lincecum earned his first career save as the San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 9-6 on Tuesday night. The reliever got just one out before Lincecum, San Francisco's ninth pitcher, got the final two outs for the save.
